he asks, "how is your neck?"

"oh man, i am in so much pain."

"heh heh... i know, the pressure..."

(sigh)

"she doesn't know her embrace is causing lots of pain..."

"and every man (thankfully??) is not saying anything."

speaking from experience - she'd probably really like to know. I was so relieved when a leader told me that my embrace was uncomfortable for him. You can even phrase it as "my back is a little sore today, may I make a very small adjustment?"
